Yes, our fonts should work in Microsoft Office. However sometimes Word or Powerpoint on Windows might not display italic in the drop-down font menu. This is normal behaviour since styles are linked. You can access italics via italic-button. In Microsoft Office Kerning is turned off by default, we recommend to switch Kerning on manually. If you encounter other errors please contact us know and we will try and find a solution.
Static fonts have a separate file for every style (light, regular, bold condensed, thin expanded, etc.). Variable fonts have one file that includes every style, but don't worry! You will still see separate styles on the font selection menu, just like any other typeface.
This technology offers several advantages. The first is that the overall weight of the font family is significantly reduced by having one file instead of multiple files. The second advantage is that it provides users with more choices while designing, as it offers significantly more style options and permutations. Thirdly, it allows type designers to have greater control, creative freedom, and room for experimentation.
We believe that variable fonts are the future, which is why all our fonts are created this way.
We don’t recommend the use of font managers, since there have been various reported issues. Installing fonts directly into your system is still the most reliable way to use them.
